Interactive baby sleep tool

Baby Bedtime Calculator

Use the end of the last nap to estimate a practical bedtime range, then adjust for the day your baby actually had.

Safe sleep comes first. For every nap and night sleep, follow current pediatric safe-sleep guidance. Place babies on their backs on a firm, flat, level sleep surface with only a fitted sheet. A schedule never overrides feeding, health, or safety needs.

Bedtime is not one fixed number

Bedtime can shift with the last nap, total daytime sleep, morning wake time, feeding, illness, and family routine. A range is more realistic than a single exact minute.

After a short final nap

A brief catnap may support only a shorter final wake period. If your baby is already showing sleepy cues, do not hold them awake solely to reach a calculated time.

After a late final nap

A late nap can move bedtime later. During a nap transition, some families use an earlier bedtime on no-catnap days rather than forcing a very long final window.
